Teaching guide

Make the model a conversation. Start with a prediction, gather evidence by changing the model, then explain the result in your own words.

1. Before you start

Open the lesson and check that the model appears. Before moving any controls, ask learners to predict and explain why. Choose a course to suit prior learning; the suggested sequence is optional.

2. Explore together

Change one condition at a time, such as the height or the position of the cutting plane. Ask what changed and what stayed the same. Rotate the model and use labels, measurements and flat diagrams as evidence.

3. Check understanding

Complete the short practice and read the explanations. Print without answers first, then check using the separate answer page. Ask learners to explain their reasoning instead of focusing only on a score.

Controls & accessibility

Drag on a computer or rotate by touch on a phone. Sliders and buttons support keyboard input. The system reduced-motion setting reduces automatic animation. If WebGL is unavailable, text and questions remain readable; enabling hardware acceleration may help.

Printing & projection

Use the print button and choose A4 portrait or Save as PDF. For projection, use browser full screen and zoom as needed. Colors and scale are teaching representations, not real materials or measurement uncertainties.

Course scope

This site supports learning geometry concepts. It provides no student accounts, academic diagnoses or exam grading. Curriculum sequences vary by region; choose courses to suit prior learning.
